Romania 1

We arrived in Bucharest yesterday. The trip from Istanbul seamed very long even if Hitchhiking is very very easy in Turkey (but less in Bulgaria), It is most because we were very tired because hitchhiking under 40 degrees is hard. That is why yesterday we spent our day in the youth hostel to relax.
Today we get up early and we saw the Parliament Palace http://www.cityzeum.com/palatul-parlamentului-palais-du-parlement-12748, Unirii Place, Cismigiu Park where a festival of traditional music and dance takes place currently.
We will finish our tour by Victory Place, the Trimph Arch and the old city Lipscani.
Tomorrow we leave Romania for Moldavia.
Hugs and kisses to everybody and don't forget to leave us messages ;-)

Turkey 1

Hello to everyone !

We arrived the 15th of june in Istanbul and we stayed 3 days.

Istanbul is a very beautiful city and is very different from the other cities we have seen until now. There are mosques everywhere, the most famous is the Blue Mosque. The Big Bazar and the Spice Market are similar to Marroco Souc.

We did not visit the Topkapi Palace because it was closed on tuesday (our last day in Istanbul) so we visited the north of the city. We saw the Galata Tower and we ate in a small restaurant where apparently no tourist go and we were very well welcomed, the food was great and the price even cheaper.

We started to visit Athena on Wednesday 11th June. We first saw the Theater of Dionysos then we climbed to the Acropolis where we have a 360 degrees sight on the city. On the way up we pass in front of the Odeion of Herodes Atticus which was renoved and where take place concerts of music.

On Thursday we continue the visit with the Bisantin Church Agii Apostoli, then the museum of the Stoa of Attale, the ancient forum and Theseion Hephaistos' s temple. In the afternoon we went to the Ceramic and the museum where are shown objects made there 2000 years ago. Then we went to Zeus Olympien's Temple and we finished we finished with Athena stadium Kallimarmaron.

We were very pleased and surprised to be able to walk through the ruins.

We will put new pictures later when we will have a computer more performant and high speed internet.

Hugs and kisses.

Montenegro 1+ Albania 1 + Greece 1

Hello to everyone !

We arrived in Athena on Tuesday 10th June.

We went first to Podgorica the capital of Montenegro but we didn't stay because there was nothing to see and the minimum price for a double room costs 48 euros which is a lot for this town. so we decided to go to Tirana the capital of Albania but once again we didn't stay because all the people we met throughout the way to Tirana said there was absolutly nothing interesting to see and that we should go on the coast.

Maybe there is nothing to see in those 2 capitals but the landscapes of these 2 countries are very beautiful and people are friendly.

We decided to take the bus to go to Athena in the order to stay longer in the mythic capital.

In 2 days we ran 1391 km and we were very tired when arriving to Athena.

Serbia 1

Hello !

So we are in Belgrade the capital of Serbia from yesterday. We are in the youth-hostel "Happy Hostel" which is very nice.

We start the visit yesterday and we finished today. There are few things to see. We went to the National Parliament, the Old Court, the Bohemian Quarter and the Belgrade Fortress where there is the military museum. From the fortress we can see the Sava river flows into the Danube.

Tomorrow we go to Podgorica the capital of Montenegro. We will catch the bus because we saw on the Belgrade French Embassy that the south of the country is not recommended for tourists.

We put pictures of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia online.

Today saturday 7th of june we have done half of our trip that is to say 9225 km out of 18600 km.

Hugs and kisses.
